Daniel is a writer, editor and translator with around a hundred books to his name. He translates (mostly) literary fiction from Portuguese, Spanish and French, encompassing fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, and plays, and a number of nonfiction books. His work has won him the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize, the International Dublin Literary Award and the Blue Peter Award, among others. He is on the board of a number of organisations that work with literature, translation and free speech.
