Abubakar Adam Ibrahim

Abubakar is a Nigerian writer and journalist. He is the author of the novel Season of Crimson Blossoms and the short story collection The Whispering Trees. As a Gabriel Garcia Marquez Fellow (2013), he is delighted to be part of the Macondo Literary Festival. Somewhere along the way, he started collecting awards, such as the Nigeria Prize for Literature 2016. In 2014, he was listed as one of the 39 most promising writers under 40 from Africa, selected by the Hay Festival’s Africa39 project. Today, he is the features editor for the Daily Trust newspaper in Abuja.
