Egypt

A decade after Egypt's revolution, Yasmine El Rashidi turns to mahraganat—the country's vibrant hip-hop movement—to ask what became of the promise of the Arab Spring. Through the voices of Egypt's youth, Laughter in the Dark: Egypt to the Tune of Change explores music as a force for identity, dissent, and social change.
